LC Packaging received 76/100 point for our 2020 EcoVadis evaluation. This means we are well within the scope of the platinum medal.

EcoVadis especially acknowledges our structured and proactive CSR approach with policies and tangible actions on major issues. Our detailed information regarding the implementations of these policies and our significant effort in CSR reporting on our actions and KPI’s also contribute to our platinum CSR rating. 

Compared to our last evaluation, our overall score has mainly increased thanks to our efforts in implementing additional measures, policies and publications surrounding our CSR activities and due to additional extensive reporting, resulting in our very first GRI Report. Additionally, we have demonstrated advanced management systems on 

environmental issues, such as our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint and labour & human rights issues.

About EcoVadis

EcoVadis was founded with the belief that businesses can contribute to improving the current state of our environment.

Since 2007, the organisation has become a trusted partner of procurement departments of several multinationals and are the only universal sustainability ratings provider. EcoVadis has a unique CSR assessment methodology and helps companies become more sustainable through the adaption of more sustainable practices. Their methodology is based on Sustainable Development Standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.

Each year, organsations can apply for evaluation and will be rewarded a rating based on four drivers: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Based on scores for each of the drivers with an overall score of at least 37/100, the organisation is rewarded a bronze, silver, gold medal or platinum medal.

Vision rewarded

This certificate is a reward for our Sustainability Vision 2022 (pdf) and efforts we have shown in the field of CSR worldwide and complements our extensive portfolio of certificates. Since our last evaluation, we have increased our overall score thanks to the implementation of extra initiatives in the field of ethics and sustainable procurement and our leading role in establishing a circular future for our packaging products. Next to that we ventured into extensive reporting and have published our sustainability report in accordance with the GRI Standards: Core Option.

At LC Packaging, we believe that quality is much more than just the strength of our packaging. It is about the materials we use and the quality of service we provide. Quality regards the working conditions in which our packaging is produced and reducing our environmental footprint.
